Guided Tours For Educators
The Foster offers educator group tours of the museum. Private guided tours are an enjoyable way to connect with artwork and your peers in a relaxed, contemplative space. Choose the Exploring Beauty or Sacred Places journey tour. All tours are free of charge and last two hours.
Discovering Connections: Arts Integration Across the Curriculum
This workshop invites educators K – 12 to explore the beautiful watercolor journeys on exhibit at The Foster through observation, inquiry, analysis and reflection. Participants will observe and develop techniques for engaging with artworks and discover how the museum setting cultivates critical thinking and creativity. Following the tour, we will discuss what arts integration is and how to successfully create arts integrated lessons in your classroom. Free lesson plans and resources included.
