For Professional Educators
Tours and workshops are available for K-12 educators from varying disciplines. Explore the use of visual arts to enrich your curriculum.
Guided Tours For Educators
The Foster offers group tours of the museum to educators. Private guided tours are an enjoyable way to connect with artwork and your peers in a relaxed, contemplative space. Choose from these special Exploring Beauty or Sacred Places exhibition tours, which typically last two hours. All tours are free of charge.
Discovering Connections: Arts Integration Across the Curriculum
This workshop invites K–12 educators to explore the beautiful watercolor journeys on exhibit at The Foster through observation, inquiry, analysis, and reflection. Participants will observe and develop techniques for engaging with artworks and discover how the museum setting cultivates critical thinking and creativity. Following the tour, we will discuss ways to successfully create arts integrated lessons for your classroom. Free lesson plans and resources are included.
