Paint box

This is the only size paint box Foster uses, even in his studio. He uses a plastic lid as a mixing palette and a Bockingford 140lb watercolor paper sketch pad.

Foster uses a variety of sable and bristle paint brushes that he stores in a plastic container to keep dry.

Foster uses a plastic water bottle (left) to dip his brushes in and a large jug to store water.

Caran d'Ache Pencils

Caran d'Ache Pencils

Used for Foster’s underwater studies. The pencils are used with plastic drawing film.

Foster uses clips to hold the paper to the drawing board.

Aluminum Tube

Aluminum Tube

This tube has traveled the world protecting Foster’s large roll of watercolor paper and his finished paintings.

Plastic Cup and Irish Tea Bags

Plastic Cup and Irish Tea Bags

Foster removes the handle from the plastic cup and the strings from the tea bags in order to reduce weight.
