Join us for classes that introduce you to landscape drawing and painting. While this series is designed for those who are complete beginners, we also welcome those with experience.
Each class follows a simple step-by-step process that allows you to follow the instructions easily and be proud of the results.
In this series, we are focusing on California landscapes: Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, redwood forest, desert, and coastal vistas. Each class supplies and uses different materials to help you build your drawing and painting skills.
Week One: Learn how to use tonal values to create depth in your landscapes. You will use your pencil to shade (TIP: We will show you how to hold it to make shading fast and even!)
Week Two: Learn how to use different marks to draw trees, grass, and rocks, and then produce a sparkling drawing of Yosemite, adding color to complete it!
Week Three: Join us on a trip down the coastal highway and learn to draw and paint ocean, sky, and coastal ground cover!
Week Four: Bring your own photographic memory of a landscape or choose from our selection of redwood forests, Lake Tahoe, California desert, and more. We will guide you in creating drawings and paintings you are proud to share.
All materials are provided, and students may also bring their own.
Cancellation Policy: Full refund (less processing fees) with 7 days' advance notice of single class or first session; no refund thereafter due to the cost of materials and planning.
